Maestro Maatouk led the score with adequate knowledge and respect for the musical text. He supported the singers with real tempi, style and interest. He planned an interpretation where the dramatic feeling’s rhythm was singled out and held the public’s interest undiminished until the end.

Tanti artisti italiani al Festival Beirut Chants

La Messa di Gloria di Giacomo Puccini ha aperto il Festival Beirut Chants che fino al 23 dicembre allieta la capitale libanese. Nella Cattedrale maronita di San Giorgio, sotto la guida del maestro Toufic Maatouk, si e' esibita l'Orchestra Giovanile Mediterranea di Palermo, accompagnata dalle corali dell'Universita' Antonina e della Notre Dame University di Louaize'.
